this lamp popped up online
bringing me great joy
making me laugh out loud
each and every time i’ve looked at it
i may have to buy it
or at least put a picture of it somewhere
there is no accounting for good taste
when you know, you know.
p.s. someone once said i reminded them of a cheeky monkey, and i loved it, perhaps i saw a bit of myself in this.
do you have an unusual object that brings you unexplained joy?

If I had been described as a cheeky monkey, I think I would have to buy that lamp. :)
Best wishes, Pete.

It would certainly be an ‘ice breaker’ when you invite people to your home for the first time!

Very interesting representation, I wonder what the creator of this little sculpture was thinking about… but laughter is the best medicine, so let’s keep laughing! All the best Beth and a happy weekend to you!

You could do a cheeky monkey weather station substituting the lamp shade for the rock.

A laugh for Saturday morning. Do it and post it. Maybe you’ll start a movement like in “Alice’s Restaurant Massacre”.. if one person buys and it puts in their house they may think they are weird, but two, or three, or even fifty people or more..might make it a movement. And that’s what it takes.. sorry, you got me laughing. Buy it, put it up in r adding window and turn it on. Peace.

It’s worth any amount of money (within reason) if it brings you joy…

It would definitely be a conversation piece. :) Are you going to buy it, Beth? Go for it! We don’t really have an unusual object that brings joy, but I like the idea of laughing for the rest of my life. 😂

This is a great lamp. Wow. And I thought the raven holding a light bulb was great. This is miles above that.

A cheeky winner when it gets a smile every time. My late brother Jamie was unable to maintain conventional employment but he made some life size sculptures for gardens with his welding equipment. He made me a miniature one of a runner who is 9 inches tall and is running in place on my bookshelf.

this is SO Beth…. I have a small collection of frog candle holders. Bought them in UK, rather because one of my sisters (the one who died) was crazy for frogs. Now I bought a dress AND a v.crazy top with frogs in all colours printed on it. You would love it! I have a discontinued IKEA snail lamp with a paper ‘shade’. Actually, I don’t know who has it now; I’ve been moving so often that I can’t remember who got what when I moved countries once more…. ;)
