each arriving in their own time
all ending up in the same place
the house on the beautiful lake
missing those not able to come
we played board games
cooked, hiked, lounged, laughed, read, were loud, were quiet, shared stories and pictures,
and tried to remember to leave nothing but memories behind
ending a great weekend up north with a final family dinner hangout
at the infamous art’s tavern
on an early fall evening
in glen arbor, michigan.
“one of the things that binds us as a family is a shared sense of humor.”

My wife and I rented a house in Italy and invited anyone who could get there a free week’s stay…we ended up with a dozen people and the greatest, most relaxed and enjoyable week ever…sometimes it all clicks and the world’s issues fade away….I’m sure the wine helped too…

I love things like this. My brother is thinking of organizing this next summer in Europe possibly. I hope he does

We are looking to do it again as well…we rent the house and offer a room to anyone who can get there!

I so get it. Our last cruise was March 2020. We were only missing my sister’s twins. We were 13 😊
