everyone was welcome and helped in the restaurant after their meal
so many delicious foods
made with care
no one left hungry
people came and went and shared plates and talked and laughed

With many greetings from IKEA…. Looks cheerful and happy. Kids are still easy to please and a great communal dinner table is a feast in itself!

This brings back a few memories of taking food to school when my kids were still going. Usually as a mom, but occasionally as a substitute teacher. Fun, fun, fun!

There was a phase in my life when the whole community shared in pot-luck dinners. Things change; people change; communities change; but the ideal of shared repasts, in which everyone contributes, everyone gets plenty to eat, and clean-up is minimal, lives on. Good start for the kinders.

Today, we’re serving a wonderful Beef Wellington, sauteed with garlic, onions, red bell peppers, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, with our imported portobello mushrooms.
