unbottled.

Standard

 gaggle of giggling gangly teenagers
brimming with unbottled energy
 marching down the sidewalk
where are they headed?
do you cross the road?
share the space?
join the group?
think back?
walk by?
smile.
‘maturity is only a short break in adolescence.’

  1. Very clever poem with wonderful alliteration. I used to take an end-of-the-year biking trip across town (5 miles both ways) with my students and parents to a local park for lunch, games, and an award ceremony. That was one long line, particularly with parents in the front and behind, driving their vehicles with their flashers on.
