  1. i better get a pair of glasses as i immediately went to a cookie stash or new little kitten/puppy to surprise someone special. I’m obviously not seeing the same picture as everyone else

  2. I agree with Sadje. I might have read this book for my kiddy lit class I took when I was learning to be a teacher. We had to read fifty picture books and do a write up for each and I sucked at writing. It was the semester my son was born and I found all sorts of picture books I could read to him and his sister who’d come along five years later. It was a wonderful learning experience as my professor took me under his wing and coached me with my writing. Yah, it a a good thing and I think that gramma might be a little like you, Beth.

  3. Ooooo, a cleverly done cover! I first wanted the cupboard to have a big stash of cookies. Then I wanted the cupboard to have a portal to a magical world. And the girl’s Mona Lisa smile conveys confirmation of her suspicions that Grammie is an adventurer. And of course adventurers need cookies on their travels 🌞
