Spiralling
I look
upwards
there
on spiralling
warm air
a white petal
fluttering
like a dove
between
here and there
hovering
on a cloud of love
there
waving
from above
my angel
forever
faithful
I wave
“oh, my love,
aren’t you tired yet?”

I remember as a child with friends we would close our eyes and spin around and around and around in nice green grass until we were dizzy and fell down. (In preparation for the cocktail hour I suppose.)

Life is a circle, cyclical and full of spirals indeed. Love the artwork and the accompanying quote.

I learned about JH when I was 13 from my parents’ friend who played banjo. Aeroplane is still one of my favorite albums! Saw him in a little bar in Houston in 1983. We were planning on a bluegrass festival, where he was the featured artist, and that’s the year he died. I was devastated. His son has the same voice, but hasn’t done much as far as I can tell…..

I feel like things are spiraling a bit too much right now. Not personally, but in this country. That said, I really like the art.
