I enjoy seeing those huge nests, though Storks are rare in Britain, having only just been reintroduced after hundreds of years. So far, I have only seen them in foreign countries.
Best wishes, Pete.

No storks here for over 600 years, Beth!
‘Reintroduction Success: Following their extinction in the 1400s due to hunting and habitat loss, white storks are now breeding in Sussex, with 68 chicks fledging in the first four seasons.’

Pete, only some 12-15′ from our home, we have 2 stork nests and they are ‘at it’ already some time – there are new babies every year and all the walks at the small lake have this additional joyful event to watch when families, kids and walkers, bikers are on their tours.

new to me as well, it looks quite large, and her capture was wonderful, they live mostly in the southeast states here

What a great quote! Hard to imagine spring is on its way when the temps are so low… (12F, feels like 0F). But I know it is just round the corner…. or maybe the other one.

I think ‘the other one’ but nonetheless…
