we’re all neighbors.

‘if you don’t know the guy on the other side of the world, love him anyway, because he’s just like you. he has the same dreams, the same hopes and fears. it’s one world, pal. we’re all neighbors.’

  1. Do not listen to me
Hear the breeze among the trees
    There, under nature’s ancient marquee
    She wisely decrees
Live in harmony like the bees
    Co-existence is free
Let it be, let it be

  2. I’m not sure that Sinatra would have said that but may it be – whatever – it’s a great quote.
I have aquaintances from earlier times in France who live now in Quatar and war-involved countries – they can see the bombing from their windows and it’s not something one would expect ever to happen to oneself. Terrible, horrible, and to what end?!
So let’s have peace and love our neighbour.

  3. Beth,
So many of the posts I read here today are focused on what Sinatra said in the quote.
Whether across the street, state or sea, we are all one humanity. All have played a part in shaping history.

As an old veggie eating peacenik, I still believe man can find the path to a greater personal and social conscience.
Although, today it appears the other side is winning, we must forge ahead with best intentions and energy.
