leaving our little adobe house
moving toward the door
i said
we still have one more light to turn off before we go
response was
a pause and silent moment
then
look up
oh
it was so bright and streaming through
not used to such a brilliant sun
shining down on me
inside
complete shift

Ivor, is there one theme on this earth you don’t have a song or a piece of music underlining it? ;)

what a beautiful mind you must have, Ivor! My head, heart and body is filled with Baroque Musique but I have, by no means, a knowledge anywhere near to yours. Tks for sharing your mastery with us

Sunlight – and its different qualities from the rise to the set of each day – is something I never lose awe for. That’s a lovely skylight in your accommodation!

We seem to have had over 6 months of winter, but hopefully next week is going to get warmer when the sun eventually decides to come out!

I had, not that long ago, the lights in our bathroom on all day, because the sun was shining so brightly already in the morning. Therefore I thought I had turned it off but in fact I turned it on. But it was a joy, because of the sunny day….

Natural lighting hits differently. The mind and body reacts and the day feels so energized. 😊

That’d be a neat little parlor trick, if you were able to switch off the sun with a flick of your wrist.

I’ll take sunlight any day over flicking a switch on and off to give light and take it away.
