I did the same thing with a pair of shoes! I wonder how many people noticed?

i did that too years ago while teaching. i had to get up really early in the morning and it was still kind of darkish outside. about half way through my day, our librarian noticed and said, ‘you know you have two different color shoes on….’ sure enough, same style different colors !)

I’ve always heard it’s kind of a hip, boho sort of thing to do. Creates interest, demonstrates individuality. Of course you did it on purpose!

I think it’s nicer to have a mismatched pair! That way, you get to wear many more colors at once. :)

Mismatches can work very well – and conveys a lot of style and personality. I’m a mismatched sock kind of guy!

Very avant-garde of you! No need to tell anyone you did not do it on purpose. I bet you have another pair just like it at home ;-)
All jokes aside, my kind of earrings and that blue-green one is speaking to me.

I’ve likely shared this story with you before, Beth, but it reminds me of the time when our son was an infant. I dressed for school in the dark, following another three-hour night of sleep, trying to let my wife get some shuteye. I always started the day with the kids on the rug, allowing them to share any news they had. One little girl, a child who rarely spoke, raised her hand. I was so excited to call on her. She says, “Did you know you have on one black shoe and one brown shoe?” I looked down at my feet, and the kids and I began laughing uproariously.
