Happy Sunday, Beth. May the 2nd half of the year be kind and filled with blessings to you, my friend.
I love Joy Harjo, btw. Was watching an interview with her a few days ago on Youtube..

Lovely quote, Beth. We have a cloudy longest day today, but I don’t mind that.
Best wishes, Pete.

You know, it hadn’t hit me yet that yes, while this is the longest day of the year, it marks the beginning of the day’s decline, that slow march toward Winter. Yes! I will squeeze every moment of light this day and in the coming ones.

That is a beautiful photo. Incidentally I wrote in a beer review on Facebook today that is the longest day. A commentor reminded me that for him it was the shortest day.(He lives in Australia).

it’s funny, we’re really far too hot right now and yet, every 21st June I feel a tinge of sadness because now the days are ‘already’ starting to shorten again…. I love the ‘summertime’ schedule and could very well live 12mo on ‘summertime’

Unpopular opinion here: thank god the days are starting to get shorter now. That morning light streaming through the windows at 4:30 a.m. is ridiculous.
