I love to see kids chalking on roads and pavements. Something I did all the time when I was young that has almost disappeared in the UK now.

they close main street to vehicles every thursday late afternoon to sunday night from may-october. it’s been so nice

New York shuts many streets for periods of time so the neighbors can walk freely without cars, and kids are given chalk to creatively draw on the streets. it is a magical time!

We do this every Thursday afternoon through Sunday night from May to October and it’s great

When I stayed with my daughter in Seattle, kids drew beautiful drawings with colored chalk on the pavement and the roads themselves. I may have a few pictures of them too.
