about all the excitement leading up to christmas eve
i soon realized
that i was even excited for the eve before that eve
because i know what comes next
and it just grows from there.

the little one soon had her own plan
she moved right up front by the screen
laughing, dancing, twirling
throwing spells along with elsa from ‘frozen 2’
until she became a part of the movie.

the children run as fast as they can
to see their new playground
for the very first time.
every day should have a moment like this.
with time, many of the facts I learned were forgotten
but I never lost the excitement of discovery.
