After leaving my house on Sunday at 2 pm, and numerous flights, layovers, and connections, I have somehow arrived at my destination down under And it is Tuesday at 2 pm. After traveling through various time zones and crossing the equator and international dateline, and losing a day and going ahead 13 1/2 hours in my new time zone, here is how I have made sense of it in mathematical form: if e equals mc2 plus add in 1 day plus 13.5 hours plus 2 flight delays and 1 early arrival then I have arrived, though I am very unsure of what time it is. Am I here yet?

enjoy Austrailia!!! I hated it myself but then I cant stand to ever not be in my house. The people down their are very nice though.

I will be careful but I actually have found the people in my ex’s family to be much scarier than any killer animal here. Ps when I don’t see any of your writing for a while I wonder “where in the world is tomnardone?” You are like my own version of Where’s Waldo.”

It takes a while for one’s soul to catch up, i find. Never mind, dear… whatever time it is and wherever you are, when a moment of confusion is reached, it must be time for tea.

I can’t wait to hear about your trip. We went to Australia in 2004 for our honeymoon, and we are returning next year for our 10th anniversary. (So, I hope you’ll share tips.) It’s worth the labor to get there, isn’t it?

Tja, das heutige Reisen von Kontinent zu Kontinent ist gut, besser aber ist es, die Leute u. Einwohner kennen zu lernen, wie sie denken, handeln, leben. Ich bin sehr viel gereist in meinem Leben, einmal durch 18 Länder von Europa nach Nepal und das ohne Flieger! Ich grüsse dich.

Oh God I wish I could return to that fabulous “Land Down Under”…I fell in love with the place immediately and the people were so friendly. I long to go back but that I even went once in THIS lifetime was huge for me. It became the Hallmark and Gold Standard by which all subsequent vacations are measured…and let me tell you, none of them stack up to that place. Someday….
