and the online dating prospects continue…. (this one was quite a challenge for me not to follow up on, as he clearly knows what he does and does not want )
A little about me…
I worked for 15 years and my position was cut. I am not a lazy person but like to relax.
I don’t need a pen pal. I think after one week of writing each other we should meet in person and see if we are going to go our separate ways.
About the one I’m looking for…
I am looking for someone that likes to go up north in a small town doing nothing but have fun.
I’d just like to add…
If your picture is not recent please do not contact me. I am not looking for anyone older than 54. I am not into long distance relationships that will lead to nothing but phone sex. If I wanted a female pen pal I would write to a prison inmate. I am not prejudice.

Oh wow. I sometimes have this discussion with my husband the “what if he were not around anymore?” one. I cannot imagine having the patience to have another relationship. I love men and have a lot of male friends, but there is not one of them I’d live with without killing them. I think I’d be saying “sorry it’s not you it’s me” a lot.
I do hope you meet someone special sometime soon though.

I had quite a few wild first coffee dates, to only find out why the guys were still single! I loved this rewrite of someone’s crazy ideas of appropriate comments. I am not sure if I would laugh or go meet him to see what he looks like. I am very brave, met an Ohio mobster, (had my friend Bill follow me!) met a man who said his ex-wife looked like Sofia Vergara, (why do I even care to compete with that beauty?) and other real fumbles and goofs! I liked to meet them just to write about them last year! Oh, and the bombastic broadcaster, what a hoot! I feel your “pain” weeding out the ones that you have connected with: like above!

Met hubby late in life. Posted a personal add in regional paper when it was in it’s infancy. We have been together for 20 yrs now and married for 17. We were both looking for a long time and as luck would have it we met and clicked. You have a sense of humor which is great. May you and your future mate keep each other amused and bemused. :) <3 PS, you never know when it's going to occur. Surprised us both. All the best in finding a GOOD compatible partner.

A recent graduate of online dating- it always amazed me how so many of these types of “what I want” declarations revealed so much more about the guy than what they are trying to say about who they are looking for. Thankfully, the gem guys are worth all the sifting.

Hate it. Life should have winners and losers. Builds … character.

i agree, as a teacher and a mother, i’ve always believed this. not everyone is going to win every time. otherwise, everyone grows up entitled and is not able to handle losing on the bigger stage of life.

You’re right – the winning and losing shouldn’t just be for when we grow up. I think the best gift I can give my team is a leg up on how to handle the best and worst, and discover what they’re both like.

How can anyone as wicked and fun to be around be single? :( Not that being single is an issue as there are lots of advantages, of course having a guy (gal in my way of thinking :) lol) is nice if he is a nice fellow, not one of those fly-by creeps with an ego as big as Portland (Is Portland Big? It was a random choice)
Anyway getting back to you and your choices, well I just fit into the category where age is concerned, being a young fifty four, though I doubt that I could wear chainmail or a fireman outfit for too long, but never say never ;) Hey I am just kidding and I know for sure that someone as lovely and as sweet as you are will soon find the Knight of your Dreams :) Just watch out for the creepos in between… or else? :(
