after yet another severe weather update, i decided to stay in for a while longer and indulge in a bit of pop culture – trashy mags courtesy of my daughter, a blitz of mad men season 6, and music from the 80s.
but, now i see that i should have gone out on my snowmobile for a trip downtown to see the movies on the big screen

well, you were very correct. ps – did you like ‘cracked’ magazine too? i didn’t like it quite as much, but i enjoyed it too. saw one of the old writers here doing stand up and he was one of the funniest guys i’ve ever seen live.

I agree. Cracked was ok in a pinch, but it was no MAD.

When they’re riding snowmobiles to the downtown theater in Ann Arbor, now that’s a weird and wild winter scene. Hitch a ride to see ‘American Hustle,’ Beth? It’s good. Saw it yesterday.

oh, i saw it a couple of weeks back and loved it. it’s the one where someone in the exit audience issued a loud spoiler alert while i was waiting to go in. ) yep, love the snowmobile movie scene.

I thought that maybe the big-mouth spoiler kept you from going to see it. My bad.

I like the quote and the photo, I agree snowmobiling to the movies sounds like fun! But, I would opt for the pop of culture and warmth inside. I am going home now from the library and am so happy I am caught up, for now, on your whereabouts!

Gee how cold is it in your neck of the woods! Here is not so sunny Melbourne we are suppose to be in the middle of summer but the temperature has been anything but summer like. I’d like to say I will send you some sunshine but that’s kind of rare this summer. Love the snowmobile would love to ride of those.

it’s. pretty damn cold. would be my summary of it. thanks for the warm thoughts and if you’re ever in the states during our wintertime, you’ll have no problem finding a snowmobile to ride. )

When I am on vacation, I load up on trash mags. Of course I bring along a book, but sitting by the ocean I need snippets of reading while watching the scenery. I’m actually embarrassed while purchasing one of each available gossip mag.

Those temps make my brain hurt. You deserve lots of trashy mags and eighties music. (Well, not Olivia Newton John of course. That’s just wrong.)
