but there is always today and always tomorrow.

and i will be there to settle a friendly bet with blog writer friend, mark.

he is crowing all over the place about his believed chiefs from syracuse,

but we shall see, we shall see….

If you cannot catch a bird of paradise, better take a wet hen.

  1. I am getting my fingers ready to tap out a telegraph to the Chiefs clubhouse about the importance of these two games, Beth. Dear. Stop. Chiefs. Stop. Please. Stop. Beat. Stop. Mud. Stop. Hens. Stop.

Just like old-time baseball! (And the last time my Chiefs were winning IL championships, so I am conjuring up glorious history!!!)

  2. I’m with Eric: Did Khrushchev really say that, or was he simply parroting on old Russian proverb? He was known for being “earthy” but I didn’t think he had that kind of wisdom.

And look out for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs!

  3. Did you hear that Bill Murray did a tribute to the Mud Hens, in a “Ghostbusters” sort of way? He thought the theme for one of the games was “Ghostbusters,” so he decided to come out in support of the Mud Hens. He did a parody of Harry Caray, sounding rather slurred on a local Columbus radio station. (96.3) Anyway, it got me smiling on Thursday driving to work, Beth!
