we learned about artist frida kahlo and how she created images of herself,
with things that had meaning to her placed all around.
here, h shares her collage with our class,
and it shows us
that she loves flowers, animals, sweets, and celebrations of all kinds.
no words are needed to tell her story.

I was lucky enough to see an amazing Frida Kahlo retrospective here in Denmark this year. It thrills me beyond belief that you are introducing your kindergartners to her and her amazing work!

This was a treasure in the picture of the girl who understands what means a lot to herself. I love the movie, which is quite moving of “Frida.” I had not known how ‘broken’ apart her body had become from that accident, until I saw the movie with the way she is able to usually get around, then sometimes carried on a bed. It is very unique how you taught the little ones about her and you are a treasure, too!
