you are how you eat.

gingerbread-man-cookiethe first bite you take of a gingerbread cookie says a lot about your personality,

according to dr. alan hirsch, the neurological director of

‘the smell and taste treatment and research foundation. ‘

if you start with the head:Β  you are a natural born leader

if you prefer the legs: you are sensitive

if you begin with the left arm: you’re likely creative

if you begin with the right arm: you tend to be pessimistic

if you don’t want to be judged for how you eat the thing,

you might just want to tear off everything at once when no one is looking.

  1. I have a large mouth and might try to eat the whole thing at once, but the pessimist in me might say what if it doesn’t taste good….I might take it in halves then. I am wondering, though, will I grab it by the head and bite the bottom half off first or by the legs and bite the top off. Crap, there goes my day, thinking about how I am going to eat gingerbread people over the holidays. I will have to bring this up with my therapist πŸ™‚

  2. i feel like I did when it became public knowledge that facebook was playing a game with us by manipulating the accounts. Violated – no one should come between me and my gingerbread cookie – it should be an inviolate rule. And milk – gingerbread must also come with a big glass of cold milk. Heaven help them if they try to take away my milk in the name of science. It could be the start of the Gingerbread Wars. πŸ™‚

  3. You know how as a young’un, you would eat the crush off the bread, then roll the bread up into a ball. Well here it would be nibble the outside all the way around, then dunk that sucker in some milk, and hold him till he was drowned in milk, then stick whatever doesn’t fall off as you take out of milk in your mouth , then the pieces that fell off in milk you enjoy like a shake.

  4. Casting my mind back to the last and possibly first time I ate of these little fellows, I think I nibbled at the head, or possibly bit chunks. I can’t remember, which is a good thing, as your post and the research makes me feel a little guilty about eating the little blokes now! πŸ˜ƒ

  5. What a wonderful blog you have. I saw we both liked Pogo comic strip on Bunk Strutts’ Tacky Raccoon site and Ann Arbor area has been a mission of mine to visit. Mostly to try and sneak a peek at ‘Heyoon’ pavilion out west. Keep up the good work.

  6. That is why I mash it all up into a ball and stuff the whole thing in my mouth at once which my mother tells me is bad manners, but better to have bad manners than be labeled. Glad you liked Murder Sets Sail excerpt – 15. Thanks and Aloha – pjs/
