That is so true. My daughter, who is five, wrote this poem on the one day we had snow flurries over the break: “The love the way the snow falls/ I love the way the leaves fall.” Then she illustrated it. “These are the leaves, Mom, and there are the snowflakes.” So adorable!
She is so brave and innocent at the same time. I treasure her kindergarten years, and her teacher who protects and nurtures her like I do. I loved the way she was inspired by what was happening, but she took it further and remembered back to last season, and saw a connection. Kids are precious.
Oh, I’m not a mommy blogger, much as I enjoy what they write. I told you because I remember what you do, and I want you to know how parents feel, even if they never say so. 🙂
