Mind boggling. I get winded walking up a flight of steps and can’t even imagine wanting to do this much less doing it. And he did it on 4 hours of sleep a day. I have 4 hours and I’m a cranky mess all day. He rows for 20 hours after 4 hours of sleep. For 30 days in a row.
It’s mind boggling. It’s either sublime or insane. Or in the weird border area between them that is a zone for prodigies.

This is awesome. I was reading something a while back about a man that claimed to do this and they thought he may have been “full of $hit”. Stories about pirates and losing his radio and whatnot… couldn’t have been more than 3 years ago. This is a super story and for a great cause makes it that much better!! great read, Thank you

OH, HOORAYYYY! I thought of Mark last night, actually, while my husband and I were watching “The Walk.” It’s extraordinary what humans can accomplish when they dig deep for something they truly believe in.

How cool that your friend did El Camino! Extraordinary as that is, I meant another thing entirely — I was referring to Philippe Petit, who walked on a tightrope between the Twin Towers in NYC. The movie was wonderful: http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/thewalk/
