what what’s that red circle thing?

what’s that twisty thing? no idea.

“a safe bit sometimes chilly way of recalling the past is to force open a crammed drawer. if you’re searching for anything in particular you won’t find it but something falls out of the back that is often more interesting.”

I believe the red circle goes into a cap gun 🙂

As I have a drawer similar to this, although somewhat less organized, it raises an important question. If I do not know what an item is or what it is used for anymore, do I still need to keep it?

This is my stepmother’s, who is much more organized than I am, but still there are unknown items. Mine is now a jumble of whatnots, all thrown in together, but we did have a good laugh trying to figure out what some things were. Yes, your question is as classic as the chicken and egg paradox)

There is something innately comforting about a junk drawer. Rummaging around in them brings back fond childhood memories.

LOL. Your junk drawer is so organized! You have to take things out to dig through ours, but you’re right. You never find what you went there for.

So true! I have a junk drawer too and, though I still remember what most things in there are used for, this is only due to the fact that I’ve only lived in my current place for two years so far.

Mine might more accurately be called a dump drawer. And offhand I’ve no idea what’s in it. Except there was a reason I put stuff in there instead of in the trash.

That’s so true! Yesterday, I searched high and low for the corn holders, I found them eventually, but more importantly I found a special corkscrew which allows to open wine bottles with no efforts at all. One has got to have their priorities right…. 😉

Haha! Sometimes I open my junk drawer and wonder where some of the stuff came from. Maybe the Tooth Fairy has got a side hustle. The funny thing is I don’t throw any of it anyway even though I might not know what something is. I might need that someday if I ever can figure out what it is.🤣
