Cars and democracies both need tuneups once in a while. Finding the best mechanics can be a problem.

We are living in a very scary time. Even during Nixon’s time, I never thought our democracy was so at risk.

My 2 favourite from J.F. Kennedy are ..
“The future promise of any nation can be directly measured by the present prospects of its youth.”
John F. Kennedy
“Children are the world’s most valuable resource and its best hope for the future.”

I didn’t know it was Presidents Day, so Happy Presidents Day Beth! Must say that as much as I do admire JFK, my favourite US President is Bill Clinton!

JFK was an enigma wrapped in a riddle. I was really happy when he was elected (I was ten). When he was murdered, much of my innocence vanished. When his brother was murdered, I was forever changed. Nowadays, my trust is really hard to come by.

You have my vote. Too bad you’re not running for anything. The struggle for democracy continues.

i don’t think i’m cut out to be a politician, and that was hard to tell the rest of the kennedys, but i’m glad for them to have been so forward thinking and involved.

Amazing quote by a brilliant human being. This is one of my JFK favs, “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest form of appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” These two go well together, I think.
