I believe Serhii Vasylkivsky is the first Ukrainian artist I’ve ever heard of. According to the article about him at,
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serhii_Vasylkivsky
many of his works got destroyed in World War II. I worry that the same fate will befall the works of other Ukrainian artists now.
