That gold brings back childhood memories. Those wonderful golden spines always held treasure.

That’s why monks used to hide books, instead of golden chalices (and such) when they were being raided by Vikings.
They understood the true value of books, and that it’s more important than gold!
Sadly, in these times not a lot of people do… 😢
