an adventurous visit to the michigan renaissance festival
way back when
in days of yore
i took my daughters
to this very shire
all of us dressed up
now my grandsons
have picked up where we left off
as brave knights
“look, it’s my duty as a knight to sample as much peril as I can.”
– Sir Galahad (Holy Grail)
people enjoying the day
being whoever they imagine themselves to be
villagers from far and wide are all welcomed here
no matter their dress or look or form
and what could be better than spying a kilted warrior brave enough to pick up his own hot latte?

I wish we could enjoy and just dwell on the fun festivals etc. Instead my mind dwells on voting. Who,Where,How,When,Why.
And IF? And WHAT THEN?

Ah! I love the Renaissance Fair! As the “Queen of England” would parade through I would turn my back (as the Irish Pirate Queen) and tell my husband “she’s not my Queen!” (all in fun and certainly never would have to HRM Queen Elizabeth).

Very cool! I love such events. This summer we joined a huge one-week-long medieval event in a German city.

I haven’t been there for a few years. My morning show partner and I officiated a vow renewal service for about 20 couples one year there. It was a cool gig.

I checked their website (http://singingexecutioners.com), and their itinerary is blank, so maybe they’re still in quarantine, I don’t know. They are really funny!

That interaction in the film is hilarious as the peasant completely dismantles Arthur’s reasoning for why he was chosen to lead…” you can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!”
