When I was 6 years old, I received a battery-operated robot toy as a Christmas gift. It walked around, the eyes swivelled, and it had flashing lights on its chest. In 1958, that seemed incredible to me.

Robots of this type are a lot of fun. BUT,the doggone robots that answer the phone every time I try to call a business or even a doctor’s office are going to be the death of me! More toys, less robotic answering machines!

Toy robots, assembly line work robots, medical robots and those of that type are great robots, the ones I don’t want around are the ones that think for themselves and act like humans… lovely post and picture Beth!

I thought of you last night. We went out for supper at a Korean BBQ place and our food arrived by Cat-faced robot… My son was not impressed; my daughter, however, thought they were the cutest.
