A brilliant and far-sighted writer was A. A. Milne. I think Winnie-the-Pooh is if not the very best work of fiction ever created then it is clearly one of the very best.
Winnie the Pooh stories heard over and over again never lose delight. And yes, they must be heard!
The best way to settle down a class of noisy (slightly unruly) 2nd graders is to not say a word but sit down on the rug with a book in hand. 🙂
A lovely quote! Pooh’s Hundred Acre Wood is based on Ashdown Forest, a place I often pop to for a walk. Pooh Sticks Bridge is quite a tourist attraction there nowadays!
I watched a special about rabbits on public television for awhile last evening. Quite interesting to see the many types. I watched until the hawks and owls noticed the rabbits. Then I turned off the TV.
I like where Rabbit’s head is at.

Kids are lucky to know Mr. Milne. We adults are lucky to remember. Our family quotes him back-and-forth.

I don’t remember a lot of Pooh in my childhood or my son’s. But anymore that doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

Happy Holy Thursday. I am scrambling to find someone to wash my feet. Nobody will do it, not even me.
