  1. There is so much stimulation in the world, and so much technology that even young hands can master, that we almost encourage our children to be busy, busy, busy! I vote that all elementary grades instill a quiet time in class (because I’m pretty sure parents for the most part won’t do it at home). I love – in fact, I crave – my quiet time!

  2. This one hit me, Beth. How true. I always worry about those kids who’ve got activities planned (not by them) from the moment they wake until it’s time for bed. They must be exhausted on a whole ‘nother level. Let them be!
