I have four siblings. “So what?” was a common response with us when we were kids.

Had a discussion yesterday at a family gathering. My go word is: anyway…. and I couldn’t find a German expression as fitting as this English word.

Most of my family and friends don’t know a word of English. Am afraid to sound too elitist.. bit can’t, on the spot, think of a suitable German expression. With HH I speak French and hence have a permanent commotion in my head, according to whom I speak, write or phone.

I had a boss who responded “really” to everything. He would vary the punctuation and inflection to make it fit when he did not want say anything more.
