Might just be me, but that sounds revolting!
Best wishes, Pete.

I make this with tomato juice instead of sauce. Onion, celery, green beans, lots of spicy spice. LOVE IT! I never follow a recipe.

Years ago I would have felt the same. It’s not something I have twice a week. Maybe a few times a year.

Oh no! Wait… I totally need to take back that “like“. This is absolutely revolting. On another note—can we be related? My mother‘s family did a lot of work with Jell-O. And mayonnaise. It’s a curse I will bear to my grave.

I so agree and I do believe we are fourth cousins, thrice removed . yes, so repulsive, not us, but the jello

My mother used to make tomato aspic for special occasions. As I recall, it was pretty vile.

Aspic has never been a favorite, I don’t care what flavor. But when you can feed people for a nickel apiece, you have to pay attention.

Oh, those ghastly jello concoctions. My mom put celery in all of them. She’d lave added celery to the tomato one too. And one of her favorites was carrots and celery in orange jello. Yikes. I can still taste it!

This sounds just plain awful. I also don’t like celery, carrots or nuts in JELL-O. Not that I even eat JELL-O anymore. Just remembering.

As a kid, I encountered an occasional tomato aspic. Never liked it. Jello is not a proper carrier for vegetables in any form.

We use Jell-O. We use Hunt’s. Not together…
