We call them ‘catapults’ over here. A foam one with a soft ball looks like a good idea. The metal ones sold here are sadly often used to kill small animals and birds.

They are trying to get a law passed to ban the sale of heavy-duty catapults with laser sights. Those things are actually capable of killing a person.

My granddaughter told me she went to a “mischief and mayhem” camp last week. She started the mischief by hiding under her covers, thinking I wouldn’t notice the lump of her. I, of course, pretended I couldn’t find her. Oh, how she laughed at Grandma!
