primary reason.

today i’ll be working at the polls for our primary

please make sure to vote

with your heart and your mind

if you haven’t already

it can make all the difference

primaries matter.

  14. Thank you, Beth, for working at the polls. I was thrilled this morning to learn that Governor Tim Walz, MY governor, has been selected as VP Kamala Harris’ running mate. He’s a man of integrity, so down-to-earth. I feel so hopeful now about this Presidential election given the new DFL ticket.

    • there were 6 of us and we rotated roles throughout the day. having people sign their voting affidavit, finding them in the poll lists, redirecting to their polling place if needed, working on address changes that impacted where they could vote, canceling mail in voter ballots if not turned in and setting them up to vote in person, teaching them about what was on the ballot, being a primary a bit different from what some were used to, no political comments or advice, just showing them how the ballots were set up, showing people with disabilities how it was possible to vote, matching ballot numbers, opening and closing the polling site, contact with county clerk throughout day, fix tech issues, work with challengers, send people to clerk to register and vote if not registered, an onward, many jobs, all connected, very secure. most things had to be done with workers from both parties –
