the cats’ gnome forgot to look up
we forgot to look down
when moving the dresser
flipping it upside down to be refinished
now i hope the gnome is not finished!

Perhaps he had enough of being tortured by the cat and committed suicide? 😉
Best wishes, Pete.

“Gnomes live ten times faster than humans. They’re harder to see than a high-speed mouse. That’s one reason why most humans hardly ever see them. The other is that humans are very good at not seeing things they know aren’t there. And, since sensible humans know that there are no such things as people four inches high, a gnome who doesn’t want to be seen probably won’t be seen… Wings.” ~ Terry Pratchett

Hi Beth
Hardly ever people quote Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s mother. We just read the excellent Goethe Biography by A.N. Wilson. Even there she is hardly ever mentioned.
Thanks for making us aware of her

I only find dust and doodle bugs behind my dressers and under my beds etc. An occasional scorpion.

Reminds me of the witch getting squashed by a house in “The Wizard of Oz.” Here’s hoping the gnome will bounce back, though!

I have high hopes the gnome is pliable enough to live another day once it is released from its captivity!

OH NO!!!! Gnome down! But I think they can take a beating and recover quickly. Just give him back to the cats and let them revive him.

Yay! lol. I’ve kicked my Simba’s things under stuff while cleaning and had to try to move stuff around to get it because HE knows it’s there lol. Glad the Gnome is saved.
