when what do I happily stumble upon?

two letters to the editor.

the first,

a thank you to the 25 snow plow drivers and support staff who drove 15,000+ road miles over 5 days to clear snow during the recent insane blizzard – yes, superhuman heroes

and next,

a casual observation about a recent local big foot sighting, simply advising the other locals to use caution, no big worries. 

 

I really have a great love of local papers 

 these are just two reasons why.

  13. I love small town newspapers also. There are often gems, like these you found, published therein. I also love them because they reflect the community. And, finally, I love community newspapers because I’ve worked at several as a reporter and photographer. Thank you for supporting journalism in our small towns.

  15. Oh, my, superheroes indeed 😄Since our country is so small, our newspaper is already local too. Filled with stuff you did not know you needed to know… lol.

  16. Great to see a local paper thriving. Our one is still going, reporting on things like a new hut for the Boy Scouts, or the theft of a ride-on lawnmower from an outside storage shed. It makes me feel as if we are still living in the late 1950s, and the terrors of the world outside are an illusion.
