one of my favorite stores
to walk into
and
walk around and around in
is called Spun
big open lots of light high ceilings old polished wood floors
yarn threads creative needlework whatnots spread throughout
filled with people happy about creating things
woven together with their hands
while not my practiced arts
i sure do love the energy

we spin our own yarn,
and where end up is really,
in fact, where we always intended to be.’

Thanks. Knitting is easy to learn. But arthritic hands are a problem.

I don’t knit or crochet, but I would want to if I walked inside that store. Also, I read store in your first sentence as story. . .

I learned to crochet and embroider at a very young age, (knitting came a bit later) but have never used any of the skills very much.

“Spin our own yarn” says a lot about writers, too.

yes, it’s word play at its best, i’m a writer, not a knitter, myself, but i still love that creative atmosphere

Gosh, what a great store – that would be fun. However, my knitting is awful, and my crocheting is zero!

i’m a zero in both areas, not a problem, can still enjoy the store -)

That rainbow crocheted shawl looks lovely. Looks like a stained glass! And very smart of the store to offer classes too. A great way to build a community of regulars!

I love that combination of colors. It looks like something someone living in the Southwestern United States might wear. But, hey, Michigan works too.

Oh, that’s gorgeous. I don’t knit, etc., but if they have pieces like that for sale, I’d be dangerous in there!
