¡Feliz cumpleaños y feliz Cinco de Mayo to Pete the Cat.

it’s my pete the cat’s 2nd birthday

 still very sweet and full o’ mischief

best friends with olive 

steals and tucks his loot away like a pirate

darts around like he’s on a mission

hides in plain sight

today is also

cinco de mayo 

let the festivities begin

a kitty treat is on its way

we’ll also be reading this sweet tale

pete and his friends solve the mystery of the missing cupcake

(they are true crime solvers, just like me)

along the way

they learn about mistakes, forgiveness and that it’s cool to be kind.

  12. Happy Birthday to your very own Pete! P.S. I love and repeat that quote, but the author’s last name is Brault ( I believe that Robert Breault is a singer).

  15. Happy Birthday to Pete! i’m going to get the book from the library so i can read it. I don’t care that it is a kids book. Frankly, i think some “adults” need to go back and read kids books as they seem to have not learned the lessons in them the first time. Lots of wisdom in those pages.

  16. Never met Pete the Cat…. but as a kid I was friends with Larry the Lamb, and zmuffin the Mule…….anyone remember these……oh and recently, talking about British TV., -“Children’s Hour” was from 5.00 -6.00. Just recently looked up Andy Pandy and also the Flowerpot Men. And at around 11.00 or midnight, the broadcasts would end with the National Anthem. Aghhg…does this make me appear old????? .
