That goose has been learning from other birds. 😊
Best wishes, Pete.

I usually only see geese on roofs this time of year. Maybe they’re sentries for when the little ones are around.

that really could be it, because it was loud and relentless -protection mode

They really do seem to guard and try to protect their extended family groups.

last year, a goose appeared outside my bedroom window, wandered over, and peering in honked at me, as though I were wasting time in the left turn lane…

We have geese nesting on the golf course I play. Now, they have six cute little ones. I sing a line or two from “Oh Canada” every time I see them.

Here in Ireland we continuously hear crows that sound like ducks. It’s really weird. Our theory is they are the shamans of crows 🤣

She must have gotten lost, or maybe she was raised by a chicken.

The only geese I see around here are the honking wedges that occasionally pass overhead. Some of them are year ’round residents on local lakes.

I think this post goes along with your one about crossing the bridge into Canada by accident. This goose forgot its passport and had to turn back at the border.

That’s clever Beth. I don’t think I’ve ever had a goose on the roof, maybe a few possums, but not a goose.

Ha ha that is funny. That was a fun poem and they are funny birds. A Canadian goose bit my three year old son’s finger in the year 2000. I think he thought he had food for him. They are funny birds.

You don’t really see geese around much here and certainly not on a roof. Nice shot🪿

Hope she finds her way home…since I’m pretty sure the roof isn’t where she’s supposed to be. :)
