hola!
to my neighborhood fairies
who have opened
a tiny taco stand
i might order
137 of these
for dinner.
—
“A little glittery fairy dust can help you float, but a good taco brings you back down to earth.”
– from a wise anonymous fairy
—
here is another take on food offered from the fairies:
Folklore says that eating food offered to you while visiting Fairyland,
makes it impossible to ever leave and go back home.
By eating fairy food, Fairyland becomes a part of you and you’ll have to stay there forever.

I might skip the taco, but I am definitely heading to fairyland for the food, and staying there! 🧚
Best wishes, Pete.

And, there are days where I would allow myself to be lured into Fairyland…

escaping to live in fairy land sounds like a pretty good idea to me. Plus, the food looks delicious.

A great location for a taco stand, and numerous toothpicks from which to choose!

Beth … apologies for the previous reply where I wasn’t signed in. It’s early here and I didn’t realize I had two WP tabs open … maybe time for a nap!

I had no idea they were so fond of tacos. That’s it; if reincarnation is real, I want to come back as a fairy!

That illustration, or at least the style, looks so familiar. Must have had something like that around our house once upon a time.

That’s so true. Never accept anything, food or drink, gifts, anything from a fairy. They don’t always treat charmed humans kindly. And, as you said, you can never go home again.
