Usually, the weather is pleasant in September, but it’s often busy.

true about the weather, but for me it is much quieter, not having to go back to school (as a teacher), or commute –

I meant for many people. I don’t have anyone going back to school here now either. But we do have some activities starting up again.

Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful quote. That made me smile. Are those plants cirsium vulgare? Because they look awesome! ☺️

September is not calm over here. 😂 But I do like the fall weather at this time of year. A nice contrast to summer and let’s hope for a calm month for us too!

yes, i’m hopeful for you. the post resonates with me, as a now retired teacher. i can ease into the month and don’t have to commute anywhere, so it feels quiet to me –

Yes, and I’ve had a quiet day at home, listening to music and writing poems, Beth
This music/video by Roger Taylor (Queen drummer) caught my attention …

September began with a bang. School term began, and I forgot those school busses add 30 mins to my drive time, lol.
Loved tge qoute, though.

so funny, and yes. for me though, having retired from teaching, it is so much calmer and quieter. i’ll get to enjoy september at my own pace – (and no more commuting)!

What an interesting way to look at September. Mine has definitely gotten quieter since our kids graduated from high school. Those elementary school Septembers were a lot!

September is a special month for me. It has the birthdays of my mom and my elder brother. Both have passed away.

I like that. Of course for students and teachers, it’s not that quiet ;-)
And for me, it’s high season at work that starts so…

So beautifully said! I love summer — but at some point, it gets too bright and it’s nice to have some darker, rainy mornings!

and now that i’m not teaching and commuting, i can really enjoy september. autumn is my favorite season

Actually you are right, despite the frenzies of the back to school or work after the summer break September is a kind of quiet month. In between summer and autumn.
I never looked at it like that before but now….

I love…a quiet day. Just reading it is relaxing. And heat warnings are up. LOL I’m assuming it’s hot by you as well.

very hot and we just had a huge storm and tornado warning a couple of hours ago, so it’s cooled down a bit. olive and pete the cat shot upstairs and hid under the bed when they heard the storm and the siren. when things quieted down olive came downstairs and started eating dinner and i knew that was my all clear sign.)
