Carol Collette was born in 1945 in Toronto, Canada, and graduated with honors from the Ontario College of Art.
She is an etcher, printmaker and painter and some of her art has been inspired by the rural beauty of New England, where she lived for some years, as well as the beauty of Hawaii, where she now resides for part of her year.

Wonderful artwork! Our Oak tree leaves have been falling for almost three weeks now, but the really heavy fall will start soon and carry on into December, probably.

Collette’s etching really does look photo-real, especially the way the autumn colors are layered onto that street scene. That Bates quote about the heart of autumn pouring its treasure onto the leaves is a lovely way to open the season, Beth.

That’s a beautiful and detailed watercolor. I’ve never heard of Colette’s work before – will have to look it up. The college she attended is also now a university – and a wonderful design school.
