I lack endurance these days, but I’ve got the rest of it, “plain clothes, old shoes, an eye for nature, good humor, vast curiosity, good silence, and nothing too much,” fairly well covered, Beth

Ooh I learned of two new trees today. Spindle and Sassafras.
Walking is healing.
Thank you for the share, Beth.

I love old man’s beard, it is wonderful to see all the fluffy seeds at this time of year. It’s wonderful when it climbs right over a tree, so adorable.

Even observant people don’t look up. I used to chimney-walk to the ceiling in a narrow hallway in a commercial space. It was a busy hallway. Nobody ever noticed I was up there.

I was just in your neck of the woods, Beth. ☺️ We were visiting family and they took us to Hudson Mills Park and we saw some beautiful fall colors. We stayed at the Weber Hotel. Being from the midwest originally, I loved visiting Ann Arbor in October. I miss the region.

As nice as Virginia Creeper looks, especially this time of year, it’s a real pain in the ass. I’m forever digging it up so it won’t strangle my trees.

Wise words from Emerson and lovely escapist photos. I wish I had a place like that nearby where I could practice Emerson’s advice.
