i have such a great assistant
nacho the cat not the food
takes his place
plops down
right in the middle
of the stones of lake superior

works hard
to help me
solve the puzzle
moving pieces
bumping my hand
meowing bright ideas
then it all just becomes a bit too exhausting
so why move
when you can just flop over
and blend in?

divided by
six cousins
equals
one each
with
a
remainder of two
and

seems like forever
wait times.

blending the good news with the bad
searching
crossing fingers

acceptance
of this past time
as my way of life
happy
that at least i know
where my teeth are.
