For obvious reasons November is not a good month, but hey there is always December with the promise of Christmas, watching tv, family and relaxation, not to mention nights out and open fires. Ah yes I’m afraid November is a month to be got through.
i completely understand tric . it is truly a bittersweet month for me. you and i both lost someone special in this month, but over time, i also gained someone special in this month. and i find it beautiful as far as what is happening in nature during this month. it is truly a time of transformation. and this is my birthday month. and thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, no gifts, just family and friends gathering together for a meal and gratitude for each other.
Ah birthday month makes it special. I love my birthday.
I recently watched a mother, now in her late seventies, on television speak about the loss of her 18 year old son in an accident. She said that a number of grandchildren share some of his characteristics, such as excelling in sport, and they are so proud. I thought this was a lovely way of keeping the memory of the son she had lost alive. I know your nephew was very young, but I am sure others born already, or to come, share some of his character.
We have no thanksgiving so the month is pretty much a ‘getting ready for christmas’ month.
yes, there are some losses that are never filled, but they can be made better over time with the ongoing cycle of life, it helps us to remember that life goes on, and still we never forget. make your own thanksgiving perhaps? hugs –
I enjoyed this ‘find’ and how you added a good message for yourself, along with all of us! We all wish for surprises! (We know you have an abundance of them, daily! ha ha!) Hope one of those surprises sweeps you off your feet, Beth!
What a fantastic picture!
