  1. IF our hearts are ready … if not, we must be patient.

    That cherry reminds me of a rock I found walking to the last hole of a disc golf course. It was shaped as a heart. Instead of taking its picture, I immediately started to dig it up. I found that it was part of a much larger rock, and by uncovering the dirt that I did, the portion showing no longer bore the shape of a heart.

    I was disappointed in myself. Buddha said that how we love is like how we treat flowers. If we like them, we pick them. If we love them, we water them. I wish I’d ‘watered’ that rock that day rather than attempting to pick it.
