  1. One thing I really enjoy about the Olympics is to see “Ordinary people,” in the sense that they are neither celebrities nor attention seekers, get their very well deserved moment in the spotlight, and to see people like these celebrated and rewarded for actual effort and excellence, as opposed to posturing or neglecting to dress thoroughly, is very cheering to Mr Stuffy, otherwise known as Countingducks!

  2. I love that the women finally broke through. And I hope people are paying attention to the fact that these ladies are amateurs, because it’s hard to find amateurs in the Olympics anymore. Even though I was happy the men decided not to use NHL players this time.
Beating Canada after all those heartbreaking defeats will be my takeaway from these games.
    Love the quote as well!

  3. I was excited about Alayna winning the medal for bobsledding, Lindsay Vonn’s final two medals but the Win for the Women’s Hockey Team was overwhelming and I got teary eyed, Beth! “Go USA!” ❤
Jesse Owens was a fine athlete and legend in his own time, great quote, Beth! 🙂

  4. Duuuuuuuuude that was so amazing! I was jumping off the couch screaming my head off and high-fiving myself. It was such an awesome game that I didn’t even write post that night because I was watching the game. 🙂
