and what was just one shoe
perched up high
has now grown to two shoes
overnight.
the only thing missing is the wearer
hopefully not sitting
perched here
tomorrow morning.

I always wondered how a starship does routine maintenance test on their transporter. Now I know.

and you’re quite sure you are not making this up?! (I know you don’t – it just seems so irreal….).
Now, I fear for the kid! 🙂

No, I was amazed, too. Maybe someone walks the same route each day, and found each, putting them up high so they’d be noticed by the wearer’s family? I think the kid is fine and probably happily barefoot?

most likely! – imagine the poor parents, at home realising that their child is suddenly barefoot! The mind boggles 😉

I wonder if it was one person who found both shoes, or two people who found one shoe each. Even more, I wonder if the owner of the shoes ever will find them.

At least two shoes again. I always wonder how someone can lose or forget one shoe when I see them on the streets.

Must be a lot of tiny bare feet out there. (Saw this today at entrance to path to Machrie Moor Standing Stones, Isle Of Arran, Scotland)

The only logical conclusion is that they saw your post and felt guilty for keeping the other shoe.
