a gate in the hedge
leads the way
in
or
out
to
what?
to
where?
is it better
to go
around
or
through
or
walk on by?

“the world is all gates, all opportunities, strings of tension waiting to be struck.”

In Geelong it’s late
I’m not going to try the gate
That I could take
So I’ll sit here and wait

This is written in such a fun and delicious form. The metaphor of choice is painted succinctly and beautifully. Well written, Beth!

Since we have the time…let’s go through today, around tomorrow, and pass on by the day after. :)

Very cool. My last house I rented had an arched gate leading to the neighbors yard. It was completely overgrown, and no longer used. Great piece.

That’s a very good one. We will reach our destinations, either way. But how we reach it is up to us!

What a great way to start Monday! Gates are not locked doors–they are opportunities:)

There’s a funny spot not too far away from us with a toilet residing in a large open field.

It does not matter if one goes through or around… what matters is the consciousness that one is sculpting one’s life with each gate and crossroad that one takes.
