Mary Oliver is the great American poet of beauty in nature; almost any of her poems ….. I still have my copy of ‘American Primitive’ close to me in the studio —

children are poets too; their vision is crisp, clear; teachers can encourage them to express their ‘vision’ in words or sketches — have displays at the end of the week or month coinciding with World Poetry Day whenever that is 🙂
