That is beautiful! I can just imaging the scent when you walk out the door to that gorgeous morning on that gorgeous lake! Is that your cottage? Can I trade places with you this week-end? 🙂
Don’t we all feel a bit weak, a bit incomplete when we arise, like the sun? Then, our “self” returns to our body after dreams and flying visitations. And our day, our Being, is stronger in this world rather than the one at sleep. (Sorry, this quote got me rather philosophical!)
it was less than sunny over here! But as we say: The sun is always there, just hidden sometimes behind the clouds. This quote just let me break out in Cat Steven’s song which I always loved!
Dickens’ quote sounds like he could have written it about me. 🙂
Best wishes, Pete.

It seems fresh and alive. Not mine, but part of my family who live in this beautiful house on this beautiful lake

A sleepy yet beautiful dawn pictured here. Dickens described a day in the sun quite right, I believe.

I see that there is a very rare and wondrous thing here in the San Luis Valley — I believe it’s called “humidity” — beautiful photo.

I am weak when rising but unlike the sun, I do not gather strength and courage as the day gets on!

I tend to start out strong and fade as the day heads toward night, so what does that say? am I more like a meteorite?
